Toshiba Satellite L300 Review
Cost is a greater factor now than ever when purchasing a new notebook, which is why the Toshiba Satellite L305 S5921, priced at $499, is a compelling system. At only about $100 more than the typical netbook, the Satellite L305 packs a speedy hard drive, plenty of ports and connections, and a 15.4 inch display into a 6-pound machine.

Panasonic ToughBook Executive CF F8 Review
Back in September 2008 I flew out to Japan for the launch of the Panasonic ToughBook CF-F8 and came away pretty impressed. Although I initially thought that full production review samples would be available a few weeks later, that didn't turn out to be the case.

HP Pavilion dv2 1030ea Review
AMD and HP have been wise not to call its latest collaboration a netbook. Why? Partly because it plainly isn't a netbook, it has a 1,280 x 800 resolution display, but mainly because, had they taken this view, we'd have probably told them to insert their new product up their preferred organic orifice - we've seen more than enough netbooks already, thanks!

Samsung NC20 Hands On
This is not a review of Samsung's newest netbook, the NC20. It is, however, a very opinionated hands on. This machine came to us straight from Korea with foreign lettering on the keyboard and a Korean version of Windows XP.

Panasonic Toughbook 19 Review
Rugged laptops typically involve a few compromises: If you get a screen large enough to work comfortably for hours or watch movies, you'll have to lug seven or eight pounds around. Smaller models are lighter, but their keyboards are cramped.

HP EliteBook 2730P Review
There is no shortage of ultra-light convertibles on the market, including Lenovo's ThinkPad X200 Tablet and Dell's Latitude XT, but the HP EliteBook 2730p can run with the best of them.

Gateway TC7804u Review
At a time when netbooks are stepping up their performance and rapidly gaining market share (and consumers are less willing to spend much in general), notebook manufacturers have been forced to lower their prices and offer even greater values.

Fujitsu LifeBook N7010 Review
One screen wasn't enough for Fujitsu. The company just had to tack on a second, smaller screen and create a sort of odd mashup with its LifeBook N7010 laptop. The main screen is a fairly crisp 16 inch, 16:9 aspect ratio screen. The other panel is a 4 inch touch screen that serves as a shortcut heavy zone.

Acer Aspire One D150 10.1in Netbook Review
Going by all the usual industry metrics Acer sells more netbooks than anyone else. This is a big deal given the size of the market and growth expectations, but despite its dominance it hasn't until now had a 10in netbook even though the market has been moving in this direction.

Dell Studio XPS 16 with RGB LED Display Review
This gradual move to 16:9 aspect ratio displays in notebooks is starting to win us over. Yes, you do lose a few vertical pixels, but given we've seen such pleasures as the 1,600 x 900 13.1in effort in the Sony VAIO Z Series and the magnificent 1,920 x 1,080, RGB LED one in the Dell Studio XPS 16 we're looking today, there are enough points in the 'pros' column to even things out.

There's not much that can be said about the 17-inch version of the MacBook Pro that hasn't already been said about the 15-incher. Still, the big, big brother of the family has a few key differences that make it stand out from the rest of the gang.
