| Dell exec confirms AMD notebooks for October |
Dell has confirmed it intends to launch AMD-based notebooks, and that it may do so as early as this coming October. The laptops will be based on Sempron and Turion 64 X2 processors, the company said, and fitted with 15.4in displays.Such a move was suggested last week by Taiwanese notebook industry moles, but the confirmation comes from an unnamed Dell executive cited by ZDNet Asia.
